👨💻 About the role
We’re looking for an Integration Engineer to join our team and take on the unique challenges of connecting hardware energy solutions to our digital platform. From day one, you’ll be hands-on in developing integration solutions and supporting our partners, working to ensure reliability across diverse climates and compatibility with a range of energy assets. You’ll be instrumental in advancing our mission for a sustainable energy future, driving innovative solutions that bridge the physical and digital sides of energy systems.
🚀 Responsibilities
- Design and implement software solutions that integrate hardware components (such as batteries, inverters, and electricity meters) with our digital platform.
- You build it you run it! Write, test and ship maintainable code.
- Develop and maintain robust systems in embedded Linux environments, with a focus on IoT devices for energy management.
- Collaborate within a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple priorities and driving projects forward.
🔍 Who you are
To succeed in this role, you need
- +3 years of experience in software development with a focus on system integration.
- Strong proficiency in programming for Linux environments, particularly in Python, C/C++.
- Experience with embedded systems and IoT devices, preferably in energy-related applications.
- Knowledge of protocols such as Modbus TCP/RTU, MQTT, and CANbus for hardware integration.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in an agile setting.
It’s a plus if you have
- Master’s degree in computer science or related field.
- Experience in the energy sector, especially with battery storage systems or VPP technologies.
- Experience in a start-up or scale-up environment.
- Expertise in large-scale integration projects involving FCR markets and IoT.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS for IoT and system deployments.
